WHAT IS MASSAGE?
Holistic meaning 'Mind-Body-Sprit', Massage meaning by the use of hands, or by mechanical means, to manipulate skin tissue and in particular the muscles of the body. The main purpose of massage is for relaxation, rehabilitation and stimulation of part/ whole body.

It is perfect for managing stress as it improves the circulation and loosens those tight muscles. Massage has been used for thousands of years for the promotion and restoration of health. The movements used today are based on those from Greek and Roman history.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Various techniques involved in Holistic/Swedish massage have different effects on the body. The only real difference between the two is that the medium used with Holistic Massage is a base oil or cream, while Swedish massage uses talcum powder.

Massage is a combination of movements across the body such as Effleurage, Petrissage, Percussion, Friction and Vibration that result in the Physiological and Psychological effects listed below.
