In the early 1950’s Japanese doctor Dr Shizuo Inoue was inspired while watching the flowing movement of koi carp swimming. Noting how remarkably healthy and well-toned they were, he realised that the steady movement of the spine caused the whole body of the fish to be exercised and oxygenated.

After 38 years, studying the effect of oxygenation on the body, working with engineers and physiologists, and testing the machine on over 100,000 people, the Sun Ancon Chi Machine was launched in 1990. (also see www.hsintenaust.com.au).

The machine has five patented characteristics, the height, swing frequency, swing angle, swing travel and power of the motor.

The effect on the body is to produce a polarised transverse wave movement (like a fish) creating rhythmic muscle contractions and stimulation of the autonomic nerves along the spinal column.

How do I use it?
Just take off your shoes, no need to change, lie down, rest your ankles on the foot rests, set the timer and turn it on.

You will be gently moved from the feet upwards. The rhythmic sway gives your whole body a soothing, relaxing, enjoyable massage - your internal organs, your entire spinal column, your muscles and nerves. This pleasantly boosts your blood circulation and aids lymphatic drainage.

When the machine stops most people feel a wonderful tingling rush of energy throughout the body, the sensation the Chinese call chi (life energy) and similar to what athletes call a natural 'high'.  Start with 4 minutes and work up to 10-15 minutes morning and evening.
